Pleasant discovery
Even so though it was an unpleasant way to awaken. This morning I was awakened when my relaxing wave sound machine suddenly started playing a slightly mistuned radio station. I didn't set an alarm but it did this at midnite. I was going to turn it off but the music was sort of catchy. There was a lot of stuff I'd have kept doing yesterday were it not for also wanting to sleep, so I went back to work on the computer.

Now about 7 hours later I've tuned the radio better and it is StILL good listening! Station 94.7FM "The Arrow", but I missed the call letters. They claim they have added a new wing to their music library and I believe it. It's been years since I've actually listened to the radio and enjoyed it, which is why I usually don't these days.

PS: I thought WHFS was *dead*, so then why is HSFestival being advertised on 94.7?

WARW. Great station.

Also, I think another station (105.7 or something?) decided to take up the reins. I'm sure they used HFStival purely for name recognition. Which makes me sad for them.

I'm also confused as to how they are booking the New York Dolls when their members keep dropping like flies... But that's just me.

Hfstival's being advertized on 106.7, WJFK. They also run Loveline in the nighttime.

Though Infinity Broadcasting chose to reformat 99.1, they said they were dedicated to maintaining the HFStival, at least for now. Seeing as the other stations mentioned in this thread are Inifinity stations, those ads make sense. And www.whfs.com links you to an AOL radio station that still plays the music we loved WHFS for.
