More on that AIM "Computer Killer" virus... thingy...
Spoke to my friend again and it has now come clear to that all three computers killed the other night between 10-11pm were actually using AOL, not merely AIM client. There were at least two different versions of AOL client software and of those three computers one was a MAC and the other two were on PC's. I don't yet know what versions of AOL clent software they were using, and that may be important as I've heard that certain versions of AOL are more vulnerable to attack.

It also appears that the MAC was not running any sort of internet security software. It is as yet unknown to me if the two PC's were using any security software such as the FREE "Zone Alarm" or "Norton internet security"

It appears that AIM client users are probably not affected. However I'm not loading my YIM as I'm not sure of anything since there really is worm running around MSN IM. I probably won't relax until I hear from Yahoo that they have any means to prevent that from happening.
