Apology - One person's lack of compassion does not equal another's comfort.
One person's lack of comprehension does not equal another's consent.
I'm having one of those off days where I seem to piss people off. Anyway if I've offended anybody else, please let me know and I'll try to make it right.

Usually exhaustion seems to lead to this, but I thought I slept enough, oh wait right, I was up late last night working on the new house.

OK maybe I should sleep now. No wait, have to go run out for groceries. Argh. Not thinking too well today.

You said in another post Re: Apology
Thanks for what you said. Although... before you wrote that, it would have been easier to write you off as a man-hating, butch-lesbian type. Now what am I supposed to think? (Just kidding. If that were the case, I probably would not have added you to my "friends")

I took the liberty of looking at your info page and your website, and wow, you have nothing to worry about :-) I'd tell you which one I like best, but I'm afraid you'd think I was weird. I'm not sure if I was more impressed by the pictures of you or your artwork. I especially liked the abstraction of your cat, (posermoki?).

I wish I photographed that well, the best photos I've seen of me were taken when I was half naked and asleep, and I don't think that's appropriate for LJ.

About men pestering you for dates, I regret to say I think I now understand that. If your pictures are any clue, you have that "hard edged" sort-of beauty which even gives me the feeling you don’t give even really charming, kind-hearted gentlemen a chance to come across. (not that anything can really be determined from just a photograph, unless maybe you're psychic :-)

Of course I might be biased simply because you appeared to write me off after just one comment. None of which is to say that "pestering" beautiful women is *ever* a good idea, justified, reasonable or acceptable for a charming, kind-hearted gentleman either.

Nice "meeting" you. :-)

My reply:

silly..I was not writing you off, I was just disagreeing with you.
I am pretty harmless for the most part. Thank you for the compliments. I honestly just don't like being hit on by anyone, no matter what league they are in....then again, let me rephrase that...I don't mind being hit on if the guy can take "no" or let's just be friends for an answer. =)

Why you manipulative little... argh! How did you know THAT was my favorite pic of you? ::gasp:: The one with the most "Sincere" smile. Ouch! And you read minds too! Call me silly?

About taking no for an answer, most guys can't, and believe it or not practice *doesn't* help. For the most part about the only guys you are likely to meet who are good at it will be F2M transexuals, Gays, and anybody else who has a history of being hit on by men. I seem to be gay-magnet myself so that *helps*.

As for just being friends. The meaning of that statement itself varies from person to person. I am by nature an extremely loyal and supportive person to people I call my "friends", so if I said that to someone it would mean a lot more than it would coming from a lot of people.

Right now, in the midst of a breakup and a move, I would feel uncomfortable too explicitly "hitting on" anyone, and at the same time, I feel an increased need to make new friends, which LJ seems to be supporting pretty well. Although most of the people I meet are generally either too young or live too far away to be anyone I'm likely to want to date even after I am settled in Potomac.

Speaking of friends, thank you for adding me. :-)

you've not offended me, I'm just too lazy to comment on just about everything. I hope things get better for you soon. I've been reading your posts and you've been going through some really hard times. And now I'm curious about this artwork...I'll have to go take a peek. :-)

Re: welll...........

Somehow I did not realize until after Yoopie replied that she copied the contents of my comment, originally posted under "Bad Sex" into this public thread. OOPS! Good thing there was nothing juicy in there! I've posted some stuff in that community that's really not ready for public display.

Please understand, I am not complaining, she seems very nice, and I'm sure she meant no harm. We just got off on the wrong foot yesterday, and it appears we tripping all over ourselves trying to correct that mistake.

Of course now I feel sort of guilty. I mean, hey I haven't even known she exists for more than 24 hours and I've already LIED to her, and even though it was more of a "misrepresentation" I still feel bad about it.

See I said that pic of hers with the red hair and killer smile was my favorite. In fact it is my *second* favorite. It was however my favorite among those which were suitable for use as icons.

Re: welll...........

In hindsight I have decided I did not explain that very well.

Thinking about it, I realize your comment about being too lazy to comment needs an answer.

I don't expect everyone to comment.

I certainly don't expect people in your condition to comment, even as much as you do.

In the past... what WEEK? You've had a baby, a C-section and perfectly horrible visit from your mom in law.

If you never comment more than you already have, I'll be pleased, if you comment more, I will be flattered.

Re: welll...........

lol, aww thanks. you worry too much tho. I read everything you write, just don't always have the time or energy to say something. I didn't really follow much of the other conversation that the other person posted from the other thread or community...to be honest, I figured it was none of my business, so I just ignored it.
