A funny thing happened on the way to the shelving brackets
I stopped off at Home Despot on the way back from Costco picking up "Test Bird #2" today. I wanted to get the same style I'd seen so tastefully used in the kitchen of agentxs. As I turned down the hardware aisle I encountered a handsome middle aged couple attempting to get intelligent answers from a store employee. Brains and beauty so rarely coexist, but fortunately as I passed them I noticed they were holding a box filled with the very brackets I was seeking. I'd considered stopping to rescue them from their folly, resisting only because my throat/breathing is marginal enough I did not want to risk it by trying to talk.

"Those are the brackets I came into this store for. Where did you find them?" Their answer, "Maybe you can help us too. We will take you to them if you can give us the answer we seek". With her pleasant French accent, she made it sound vaguely exciting as in, "You want shelving brackets, eh? First you'll tell us what we want to know!" I guess they were actually smarter than they originally appeared. I showed them the sorts of drywall anchors I prefer to use and explained how to get the best results.

Then as they took me to the location of the shelving brackets I casually asked where they were from. She explained that was from France and he was from Peru. Then she asked, apparently referring to the shelving brackets, "How many did you want?" and I answered, referring to the couple, "Usually two foreigners in an evening is enough for me. :-)

Haha - that would have been amusing, reminiscent of Casablanca.

FYI, I don't know if agentxs mentioned this, but it was I who originally pointed out those brackets (silly smug grin).

Well, there's no positive correlation, but there's no negative one either. I'd say they're independent variables. Not on the same chromosomes.

Though I suspect they're usually a Canadian and a Brit. rather than a Frenchie and a Peruvian.

By the way, it was originally red_lynx who discovered the brackets (as correctly stated above.)
