Do It Yourself... Sushi???
I've heard of this over the years and usually reacted with fear, but after having some bad sushi from real restaurants I've been thinking how much worse could my own be with a little bit of care.

I've found a couple online references and it doesn't look too hard but I'd like to ask anyone reading to see if they have any experience or advice.

It appears that it is certainly possible for individuals to make better safer and fresher sushi than you will find in restaurants, "all you need" is a good supplier and given the number of asian restaurant supply shops in the area this seems likely.

The best reference I've found is:

I made do-it-yourself sushi for the first time at a friend's Superbowl Sushi party a few years ago (we all made sushi during halftime). Of course, it was easier with the host already having made the rice and so on. You could make veggie sushi with avacado and egg and stuff the first time, if you're nervous about the fish but want to go ahead and try it.
