Mongolian/Viking/Barbarian/SCA Birthday chant/song - One person's lack of compassion does not equal another's comfort.
One person's lack of comprehension does not equal another's consent.
Mongolian/Viking/Barbarian/SCA Birthday chant/song
I recently attended a birthday party in which we barely scraped through three verses of "The Birthday Dirge" (and got one of them backwards) because not even those running it were really familiar with them.

I have since vowed to carry the verses, at least the ones which are familiar to me, with me at all times in my PDA, should I ever attend another birthday party. I hope to remember to ask others if this will be performed and if so beam copies from my PDA to the others so that at least a couple of us can keep it going for at least five verses.

Here are the ones I like. By all means copy this to your own PDA.
The Mongolian/Viking/Barbarian/SCA Birthday chant/song
Tune of : "Volga Boatmen"

Death, destruction, dark despair
People dying everywhere.

Happy Birthday! (UGH!) On your Birthday! (UGH!)

Now you are the age you are
Your demise cannot be far.

May the candles on your cake
Burn like cities in your wake

Burn the Castle and storm the keep
Kill the Women but SAVE THE SHEEP!

May your deeds with sheep and yaks
Equal those with sword and axe

The following are less familiar to me but I may distribute them anyway.

You must marry very soon
Baby's due the next full moon

Children dying far and near
They say that cancer's caused by beer.

Children dying everywhere
Women crying in despair.

May the children in the street
Be your barbecuing meat.

At your age most folks go blind
You've kept your sight, but lost your mind.

We love children, yes we do
Boiled or baked or in a stew.
