Don't try this at home
wolfdancer sent me an inspiring google search link and it inspired me to do another. The following link was the result. Mind you, you only can do this at home if you have a kitten which most people do not and even then it seems a strange thing to do.

i hate how people do that to poor little kittens! i saw this site that had kittens in little boxes so when they grew up they were deformed! i just wanna kill those bastards!! thats fuckin animal cruelty!! AARRGGHH!!!

that was photoshopped! You can tell cuz a kitten's neck wouldn't spread out to touch all sides of the glass just below the jawline. All the bonsai kitten stuff on the internet is fake too.

Keith is right, the bonsai kitten page is fake. An easy way to find out is to attempt to order materials supplies or books, the links lead nowhere.

Personally I'm not so sure that the kitten in the soda glass is fake, but the kitten doesn't appear to be suffering either. I don't know if you've ever had a kitten but they seem to interest themselves in crawling into the most unlikely poses sometimes.
