Bugaboo Creek Fire
I just read in the local paper that on of my favorite local places to entertain friends, the Bugaboo Creek Restaurant on Shady Grove Road, recently burned in a fire causing $2million dollars in damages, and I understood the roof caved in at one point. It sounds pretty destroyed and though I'm seriously hoping they'll rebuild, I'm not very hopeful, considering it did not seem like a really good location.

"Piringer says "surprisingly" the restaurant remains in tact, although, it's full of water.""]

For me this is actually the second time I've seen that particular typo in publicly accessible print. It's time we realize that literacy is a thing of the past if not an outright fantasy.

If you read the article I posted the link to about the hybrid scooter, you will note it has "regenerative brEAking" which suggests that as its parts break or wear out they repair themselves.

Considering that people can't spell to save their lives and considering that American english does not even adhere to British standards, I think it's time we throw in the towel and begin to spel fonetically.

Such a modificashun in our langwuj wood make cumewwnicashun easier 4 people hoo cannot spell 2 save ther lives, but it wood probably also make it more difficult 4 folx with weerd ackscents 2 commewwicate with others hoo don't share that ackscent.

Re: Bonus points for figuring it out on your own.

Because Q,like C, and X, currently represent sounds which are easily represented by other letters, so i chose to reassign them, and q made more sense for the hard th in my head than for the soft th, which are 2 sounds currenly not having letters that deserve them in my head.
