I'd take that with a grain of salt. How many people even know their IQ?

True. However I have seen television programs in the pas year in which "average" IQ's for specific counties and states have been reported. I would agree it is hard to imagine how those figures were arrived at, but to the extent that any reputable agencies have even attempted to gather such information (most likely through public education institutions, it isn't necessarily wrong to attempt to corrolate average state IQ's with vote results.

That said, I read a post on Elbows today that the table on the link I posted (which I got from Elbows) was totally fake. :-) Regardless, I'm still amused.
