War Protester delivers message to mainstream media!
A war protester disrupted a "speech" made by Donald Rumsfeld. I don't know how she got in but she did what she had to do. Her disruption gained the media coverage it needed and I was able to make out the URL she delivered at the beginning of her disruption.

She said, "bushcommission.org"

(Commission of Inquiry On Crimes Against Humanity Committed by the Bush Administration)

She went on to describe Rumsfeld as a war criminal and made references to condoning torture.

Delivering that message which was delivered over a more mainstream media than most similar messages is important because it introduced a more naive sector of the public to the concept that intelligent educated people question the war and the activities of our president.

I've read the claims of that commission and it seems almost Bush Friendly compared to the charges I would make. Nowhere did I read references to the "War Crime" of using "dirty weapons" (dirty bombs, dirty bullets) such as the DU*, which I referred to in another post recently.[edit: correction, see note at bottom]

The truth will be known inside of the next 20 years as veterans become ill from exposure to DU* in that time, but the importance of making it known right now is to stop this war and the tactics used in this war RIGHT NOW.

Despite recent propaganda to the contrary, DU* is dangerous and has been known to be dangerous for a very long time. The article linked in this paragraph explains it more clearly than I've ever read before Our military has lobbed more than 500 tons of DU munitions on Afghanistan. Professor Yagasaki has calculated that 800 tons of DU is the "atomicity equivalent to 83,000 Nagasaki bombs." This fact he presented to the World Uranium Weapons Conference in Hamburg in October 2003.

DU* qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction. Had DU been found in stockpiles in Iraq it would have been used as evidence, but instead we, the Americans are polluting that land with DU. Can you say "hypocritical"? Sure you can! :-)

*Depleted uranium: "Dirty bombs, dirty missiles, dirty bullets: A death sentence here and abroad" by Leuren Moret, http://www.sfbayview.com/081804/Depleteduranium081804.shtml.

[edit: I just found DU listed on the commission page under warcrimes but buried a bit under the heading of "Use of disproportionate force". Come to think of it, I suppose they could have justified the use of a WMD against a country purported to have WMDs, but now that no WMD's have been found, isn't it time we stopped using them?]
