Driving While Stupid; The Undiscovered Category
Yesterday I pulled up to a green light about a mile from my house. I had my left turn signal on and I waited for the car across the street to cross the intersection. I assumed she wanted to go straight since she did not have her turn signal on, but she stopped and waited. And I waited. And she waited. Finally she pulled forward and turned left.

Had she had her left turn signal on I would have assumed she wanted to turn left and cautiously I would have turned left in front of her. She could have made the same assumption since I DID have my left turn signal on. Not using your signals is kind of lame but choosing neither to use them nor pay attention to the signal of others really is just STUPID!

It seems that many people don't know what the turn signals are for. Simple lane changes require use of this also and I think many a crash would have been prevented had both parties recognised/used this simple universal car language.
