Headline OTD "Willie Nelson takes reggae turn"
I actually heard this on the radio a few days ago and couldn't believe it. About the same time I was watching TV with livingthebreeze and we were watching... something indescribable. It involved Willie Nelson, the "general lee" from the "dukes of hazzard") and some sexy singer everyone gets excited about and I could never relate to. The song they were playing was "These boots were made for walking" but it was so cuntrified as to be nearly entirely unrecognizeable, having lost most of the rhythm which made that song stand out.

At the time my comment was, "Willie Nelson seemed really old 20 years ago and he's STILL playing?" Tonite the curiosity overcame me and I found he was born in 1933, making him about 72 years old. Wow! I remember first noticing him in the movie "The Electric Horseman" with Robert Redfor and Jane Fonda. At the time I'd have guessed he was well into in his 50's or so, but apparently not, that film came out in 1979, 26 years ago, and he'd have "only" been 46. What a strange aging process! I suspect he's really immortal and faking his age as to not arouse suspicion.

Here's an article about his new reggae style. Personally, I just want to see him in dredlocks.
